By the Numbers: Our Impact from 2017-Today

More than almost anything, we believe in the power of storytelling. And while we usually favor words, sometimes the most compelling stories are told through numbers.

We’re extremely proud of the impact we’ve generated since our first event back in January 2017. Here’s a snapshot of all we’ve been able to accomplish — a story in numbers.

Through our events and small donations, we’ve supported 47 small non-profits — organizations on the ground, often in unfriendly or downright hostile environments, fighting for human rights.

100+

Over 100 women and non-binary readers have volunteered their words at our events to inspire audiences nation-wide to action.

These people are activists, poets, comedians, reporters, yogis, podcasters, novelists, mothers and more.

$8,000

We’ve given $8,000 to support women and non-binary writers through:

$30,000+

And we’re incredibly proud to say that, through all of our events and programming, we’ve given over $30,000 to small non-profits across the United States.

And now, for our latest number: $5,000

Contribute to our story by helping us raise $5,000 by August 6th. We’re counting on you to help these numbers grow in 2019 and beyond.
